Make-A-Wish Foundation of Idaho participates in both internal and external events throughout the year. Internal events are those that are planned and implemented by Make-A-Wish Foundation of Idaho staff members while external events are held by indivdiuals or businesses in the community with all proceeds raised given to the organization. The following events are quickly approaching and would benefit significantly from your participaion and/or support:

Tamarack Trail Run

What: Tamarack 10K and Half Marathon Trail Run
This trail run takes advantage of the beauty that is the Tamarack Resort. Moderately challenging, scenic, single track trails provide a very nice introduction to trail running for many, but still challenging enough for the seasoned veteran.

Why: Our goal in developing and presenting this event is to raise visibility of the important work of Make-A-Wish in our community and to raise funds to meet the needs of our growing wish-granting program. Proceeds generated from the Tamarack Trail Run benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Idaho. Please help make this event another great success!

1st Annual Walk For Wishes

What: A Walk For Wishes, Destination Joy. A walk to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Idaho.
Where: This walk will begin and end at the Old Town Pavillion in Old Town Pocatello Idaho.
When: Saturday, June 14th, 2008.

Northwest Motorfest
What: Idaho's largest Car Show July 4th, 5th, 6th, 2008. Northwest Motorfest is raffling off a 1959 Edsel!!
RPM! Productions, the producer of Northwest Motorfest, is a supporter of Make-A-Wish Foundation of Idaho. Since 2005 a '55 Chevy, a '66 Mustang and a '32 Ford Roadster have all been auctioned off to help benefit Make-A-Wish.
To date, with your support, RPM! Productions has given Make-A-Wish Foundation of Idaho over $70,000! That's enough to grant at 11 wishes!
WESCHEM, INC and ALBERTSONS presents the 2008 Make-A-Wish raffle car. This is not a fixer-upper. This is a get in and go classic.
Tickets: Tickets are only $5 each and available at a wide variety of car shows, car events, in front of Albertsons stores, special weekend locations from March through July of which all will be listed here.
When: Winning tickets will be drawn 4pm Sunday, July 6 at Northwest Motorfest at Expo Idaho in Boise. Need not be present to win.
2nd Annual Cart-Wheel-A-Thon
The little gym of Eagle/Meridian is hosting a one day "Cart-Wheel-A-Thon" and proceeds from the event will go directly to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Idaho. Children age 4 months to 12 years are requesting friends and neighbors to make pledges in exchange for the child completing cartwheels.
The children will be doing carwheels on behalf of Austin who is an adorable three-year-old. Austin resides in Maridian with his family and is currently battling leukemia. Austin enjoys eating at his favorite restaurant, Red Robin, and loves the TV show Micky Mouse Clubhouse. As such, it's Austin's one true wish to meet his favoriet character Mickey Mouse at Walt Disney World! Austin and his family will get the chance to meet Mickey Mouse on November 17th in Florida. The whole family is anxiously awaiting this trip of a lifetime.

Fun Run
What: Motorcycle fun run that will loop from Emmett City Park, through Horseshow Bend, Eagle, and back to Emmett City Park where a BBQ will take place. There will be a ride-patch for the first 150 people and a raffle for door prizes will also take place at the BBQ.
When: May 31st, 2008.
Registration: 9:00am-10:30am. The run will start at 12:00pm
Cost: $15/driver
$10/passenger
Children 10 yrs. and under are FREE!
